Salary: US Tier 1 $204K–$306K; US Tier 2 $184K–$275K; US Tier 3 $163K–$245K

What you will do

• Lead and grow a small, highly technical team while remaining hands-on in engineering and research.
• Set technical direction, break down ambiguous problems, establish execution plans, and build a culture of ownership, collaboration, experimentation, and high standards.
• Create agentic capabilities and frameworks for monitoring, guardrailing, and evaluating agents.
• Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, model fine-tuning, and rapid prototyping based on product feedback and evolving needs.
• Work with Product and Research to translate AI research into practical features and software engineering projects.
• Deliver production-ready code and technical designs for scalable, reliable software.

Requirements

• BSc in Computer Science or a related field with exposure to AI/ML.
• Deep expertise in AI/ML, software engineering, or AI security.
• Strong Python programming skills and experience with relevant ML and/or agentic frameworks.
• Demonstrated cross-functional, collaborative work with a high degree of end-to-end ownership and delivery of real-world outcomes.
• Ability to learn additional programming languages and technologies as needed to ship scalable and reliable software.

Nice to have

• PhD in Computer Science or a related field focused on AI/ML or a similar area.
• Hands-on experience with agent orchestration, agent harnesses, agent teams, jailbreaking or prompt injection, red teaming, data poisoning or evasion attacks, secure model deployment or sandboxing, or detection and monitoring for AI misuse.
• Experience contributing to open-source projects.
• Experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Experience in cybersecurity.
