Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based on the US West Coast, specifically the San Francisco Bay Area. Travel to customer locations in the US is required. Applicants must have a valid US work permit; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Salary: $125,000–$200,000 annually for the New York Metropolitan area (Jersey City), plus bonus opportunities.

What you will do

• Implement projects with customer engineering teams and develop tailored Python-based solutions.
• Analyze project data and apply deep-learning tools to engineering and physics problems.
• Deliver proofs of concept demonstrating value in CAD, CAE, and manufacturing workflows.
• Train customer teams to use the NC platform and support AI adoption.
• Collaborate with the product team to turn customer feedback into product improvements.
• Travel to customer locations in the US as needed.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of both engineering and machine learning.
• Master’s degree in engineering, applied mathematics, or physics.
• Strong Python programming experience and experience with machine-learning and deep-learning frameworks and libraries.
• Experience with simulation.
• Strong communication skills and comfort working in a customer-facing role.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Industry experience with CAD or CAE modeling, including CFD or FEM.
