Operations Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Fort Smith, Arkansas, United States of America; onsite work model. Candidates must already have US work authorization permitting employment with hirify.global.

hirify.global’s NEMA Motors Division manufactures electric NEMA motors across seven global manufacturing locations, producing more than 1.6 million motors annually for customers in multiple industries.

What you will do

• Coordinate and manage plant equipment, personnel, and production processes to meet order demand, specifications, quality targets, budgeted costs, productivity levels, and delivery schedules.
• Lead safe, compliant, quality-focused operations, maintain HSE standards, mitigate risks, and ensure defect-free, on-time delivery.
• Manage shift and area managers and develop a high-performing workforce through talent management, employee engagement, coaching, workforce flexibility, and employee training.
• Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement through lean principles, productivity optimization, working-capital management, cost reduction, and quality and delivery improvements.
• Own operational budgets, optimize resources, support manufacturing capability for customer visits, and align operations with business growth objectives.
• Partner with scheduling, quality, engineering, and safety functions while maintaining positive employee relations and a safe work environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience, or an Associate’s degree with 12+ years of experience, in manufacturing-related production, purchasing, planning, or scheduling management roles, including 5+ years of leadership or management experience.
• Proven leadership experience supervising teams, leading projects, and driving results in fast-paced, changing environments.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills, with the ability to resolve manufacturing and operational challenges.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, quality management systems, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Existing US work authorization permitting employment with hirify.global is required.
