What you will do

• Develop high-volume consumer products from concept generation through mass production, product launch, and ongoing improvement.
• Develop and implement electronic designs using professional engineering workflows and Altium and Cadence tools.
• Apply analogue and digital circuit design expertise and work with modern embedded platforms.
• Balance design BOM cost requirements with wider project requirements.
• Design products for compliance with applicable UK, EU, and US standards and regulatory requirements.
• Work hands-on with interdisciplinary teams and explain complex engineering concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Proven experience developing and implementing electronic designs using a professional workflow, including Altium and Cadence tools.
• Broad experience in core electronics disciplines, including analogue and digital circuit design and modern embedded platforms.
• Demonstrable experience balancing BOM cost requirements with wider project requirements.
• Significant demonstrable experience across the full product lifecycle, including delivering designs into service or mass production.
• Good understanding of the UK, EU, and US regulatory landscape and a proven track record designing for compliance with appropriate standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex engineering concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Degree qualification in electronic engineering or a related subject from a leading university.
• Ability to gain UK SC security clearance if not already acquired; in practice, this requires sole UK nationality.
• Hands-on approach to working through engineering challenges from first principles on the bench, energy and enthusiasm for unfamiliar challenges, and the ability to innovate and think freely.
• Enthusiasm for helping develop less experienced engineers.

Hiring process

• Initial call with a Tech Recruiter.
• Two 60-minute competency or technical interviews, covering both formats across the two rounds.
• Final 60-minute meeting with a PA leader, including a mini case study and discussion of client-centricity.
