Senior Project Manager - Process Piping

Location: Midland, TX; Nevada; North Dakota, with possible bases in Lubbock, TX; Odessa, TX; Oklahoma City, OK; Las Vegas, NV; or North Dakota. Travel for site work required 50–75% of the time.

What you will do

• Lead large-scale commercial and industrial process piping construction projects from setup through closeout, including a 100+ MW data center project with billings exceeding $100 million.
• Manage budgeting, scheduling, procurement, labor, equipment, subcontractors, resource allocation, project controls, and closeout.
• Lead teams including Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Project Coordinators, with 150–200+ personnel on site at a given time.
• Ensure compliance with ASME B31.3, applicable ASME requirements, contractual obligations, safety rules, environmental requirements, and quality standards.
• Coordinate QA/QC and third-party inspections covering WPS/PQR, welder qualifications, NDE, PWHT, hydrostatic testing, and PMI.
• Review P&IDs, piping isometrics, and piping specifications while serving as the liaison between field operations, leadership, customers, vendors, subcontractors, and project teams.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience managing industrial or commercial construction projects.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Project Manager with direct experience managing process piping scopes.
• Working knowledge of ASME B31.3 and ASME Section IX.
• Ability to coordinate QA/QC and inspection activities for pressure piping, including WPS/PQR, welder qualification, NDE, and hydrostatic testing.
• Ability to coordinate pipe fabrication and spool shop activities supporting field installation.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, piping isometrics, and piping specifications.
• Proficiency with HCSS Heavy Job or similar job-costing software; Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software; Viewpoint or similar accounting software; Heavy Bid or similar estimating software; and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to travel for site work 50–75% of the time and work in manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environments, including confined spaces and areas with extreme temperatures, noise, odors, and limited visibility.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector certification or similar welding inspection credential.
• OSHA or equivalent safety training.
• Driver’s license with a clean driving record.
