Product Owner / Project Manager (InsurTech)

Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan, with other listed locations in Chicago, Atlanta, and Austin. Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence.

Base compensation: $75,000 annually.

hirify.global's ClearConnect Solutions develops data-driven software for fleet insurers, underwriters, and policyholders, including risk monitoring, MVR automation, screening, telematics, and route optimization platforms.

What you will do

• Own, prioritize, and refine the product backlog in line with business goals and product roadmaps.
• Translate MVR automation, telematics, risk-scoring, and other complex data workflows into technical requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and specifications.
• Support release planning, scope definition, milestone tracking, and alignment with company growth objectives.
• Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Manage sprint velocity, remove blockers, and support timely delivery of high-quality software.
• Coordinate communication between engineering, QA, data, business, and leadership stakeholders while improving agile workflows and documentation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Technical Project Manager, or Scrum Master in an Agile software development environment.
• Strong familiarity with software development life cycles, API integrations, and data-heavy platforms.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including translating technical concepts into business language and business needs into technical requirements.
• An analytical mindset and comfort working with complex data systems, risk models, and compliance workflows to define logical product solutions.
• Proficiency with agile project management and documentation tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.

Nice to have

• Certified Scrum Master, Professional Scrum Product Owner, or equivalent agile certification.
• Experience with SaaS, InsurTech, FinTech, fleet-management technology, or related data-driven platforms.
• Experience supporting products involving MVR automation, telematics, risk scoring, screening, compliance, or route optimization.
