Product Owner

Location: Remote in New York or Texas; New York-based employees local to Schenectady may be expected in the office on meeting days.

Annual salary: $80,000–$130,000.

What you will do

• Develop, prioritize, and manage a large product development backlog with changing priorities.
• Gather requirements and collaborate with development, quality assurance, Scrum Master, and stakeholder teams.
• Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint review, and other Scrum meetings.
• Research user and product needs and translate complex designs for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Create and critique UI/UX artifacts for mobile and browser applications.
• Motivate development teams to meet sprint commitments and product quality goals.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or active participant in a Scrum process.
• Experience working directly with software development teams and international teams.
• Knowledge of UI/UX principles for mobile and browser applications.
• Knowledge of Scrum and Agile principles, with strong analytical, organizational, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Jira, prototyping tools, and product analytics tools.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening hours at least twice per week; a valid driver's license and ability to drive to software-testing locations are required.

• Exposure to logistics, education, public safety, or fleet maintenance fields.
