Product Launch Manager (Hardware)

Location: Remote within the United States; preference for candidates near offices in Bozeman or Missoula, Montana, or Basecamps in Austin, Denver, Kalispell, Minneapolis, Portland, Salt Lake City, or Seattle. Permanent US work authorization is required. Candidates must reside in a state where onX can employ team members. onX cannot employ individuals whose primary work location is in Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Dakota, West Virginia, or Wyoming. Travel to a corporate office or strategic location may be required up to quarterly for multiple days.

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 upon hire, plus eligibility for annual bonus and common share options.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end launch timelines, milestones, deliverables, and readiness across hardware, software, marketing, operations, and customer experience.
• Coordinate launch execution from beta through broader availability, aligning dependencies and accountability across teams.
• Partner with manufacturing partners to coordinate production timelines and prepare internal teams for critical milestones.
• Identify, track, and mitigate cross-functional dependencies, risks, gaps, and roadblocks.
• Facilitate communication on launch status, decisions, risks, priorities, and upcoming milestones, escalating complex trade-offs when needed.
• Explore and apply AI as a repeatable workflow copilot for launch planning, dependency tracking, stakeholder communication, and execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of experience in program management, project management, product launches, or related complex cross-functional work, including required experience with physical or hardware products.
• Ability to independently coordinate multiple workstreams, manage competing deadlines, and drive projects to completion.
• Strong project management skills, including timeline development, milestone tracking, dependency management, and risk mitigation.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, building alignment, and driving accountability without direct authority.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including anticipating challenges, resolving day-to-day obstacles, and identifying when escalation is needed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for communicating progress, risks, and priorities to diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain momentum in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to thoughtfully explore and apply AI tools while exercising sound judgment and validating outputs.

• Experience supporting the launch of a new physical product or product category from beta through commercial availability.
• Experience with devices or products integrating hardware, software, and subscription or membership services.
