Senior Sourcing Manager (CapEx)

Location: Hybrid — San Francisco, California, United States. Candidates residing in Alaska, Delaware, Iowa, Mississippi, Nebraska, South Dakota, West Virginia, or Wisconsin are not considered.

Salary: $172,550–$203,000 annually for Region 1 US locations.

What you will do

• Develop commercial and sourcing strategies for capital equipment, tooling, automation, test systems, and manufacturing systems across the global contract manufacturing network.
• Identify reuse, standardization, cost optimization, and lifecycle management opportunities to reduce capital spend.
• Build and manage strategic supplier relationships through capability assessments, business reviews, performance metrics, continuous improvement, and innovation initiatives.
• Lead negotiations and contracting for equipment, tooling, installation, and service agreements, including NDA and terms-and-conditions compliance.
• Develop cost models, should-cost analyses, benchmarking frameworks, total cost of ownership, depreciation, ROI analysis, budget planning, and forecasting.
• Partner with Hardware Engineering, NPI Manufacturing, Operations, and Finance to define specifications and align supplier deliverables with production-readiness timelines.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management focused on CapEx, equipment, or manufacturing systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Proven experience with supplier negotiations, RFQ/RFP management, and contracting.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, automation systems, and tooling.
• Excellent analytical, financial modeling, and project management skills.
• Exceptional collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams.
