Senior Corporate Counsel – Platform/AI (AI)

Location: San Diego, California; Atlanta, Georgia; Mountain View, California, United States

Base pay: San Diego $223,500–$302,500; Mountain View, California $227,000–$307,000. The position may also be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Provide practical legal guidance across the product lifecycle for AI, emerging technologies, and platform capabilities.
• Advise on intellectual property, privacy and data protection, consumer protection, product liability, and regulatory compliance.
• Draft and negotiate technology licensing, integration, platform, and other commercial agreements.
• Develop positions, guidance, and guardrails for emerging AI and platform issues by aligning stakeholders.
• Partner with teams to responsibly deploy AI tools across the global workforce.
• Build AI-enabled tools and workflows that embed legal guidance into business processes.

Requirements

• JD and membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
• 6+ years of relevant legal experience, primarily advising technology companies.
• Experience counseling product and engineering teams through development and launch, including novel or ambiguous issues.
• Experience drafting and negotiating technology and commercial agreements, including licensing, platform, integration, or similar arrangements.
• Ability to translate product architecture, data flows, and business objectives into clear contract terms and practical negotiating positions.
• Experience developing reusable agreements, negotiation guidance, or other resources that improve legal-support efficiency.
• Working knowledge of intellectual property, open source licensing, privacy and data protection, and consumer protection.
• Strong technical fluency in AI and platform technologies, including the ability to understand systems through collaboration with engineers and data scientists.
• Hands-on use of AI and other technology to improve legal workflows, willingness to experiment and build tools, curiosity, resourcefulness, comfort with ambiguity, practical judgment, and clear concise communication.
