AI Engineer

Location: United Kingdom

Salary: UK Tier 1 £76K–£114K; UK Tier 2 £65K–£97K annually.

What you will do

• Create agentic capabilities and frameworks for monitoring, guardrailing, evaluation, and effective collaboration between agents.
• Perform classical machine learning work, including exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and model fine-tuning.
• Work with Product and Research to translate AI research into applicable features and software engineering projects.
• Rapidly iterate on prototypes and features based on feedback and evolving product needs.
• Contribute production-ready code and deliver scalable, reliable software across engineering.
• Track emerging agentic developments and explore new opportunities.

Requirements

• MSc in Computer Science or a related field with exposure to AI/ML.
• Deep expertise in AI/ML, software engineering, or AI security.
• Strong programming skills in Python and relevant machine learning and/or agentic frameworks.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively with strong end-to-end ownership and deliver real-world outcomes.
• Ability to learn additional programming languages and technologies as needed to ship scalable and reliable software.

Nice to have

• PhD in Computer Science or a related field focused on AI/ML or a similar discipline.
• Hands-on experience with agent orchestration, agent harnesses, agent teams, jailbreaking or prompt injection, red teaming, data poisoning or evasion attacks, secure model deployment or sandboxing, or AI misuse detection and monitoring.
• Experience contributing to open-source projects.
• Experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Experience in cybersecurity.
