Multimedia Journalist (Bilingual)

Location: Tampa, Florida, United States; onsite. Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Availability required for early mornings, mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

What you will do

• Generate story ideas and develop stories with minimal direction.
• Shoot and edit news stories and produce daily content across multiple platforms.
• Develop sources and contacts, arrange interviews, and gather background information for assigned stories.
• Report live from the field on breaking news and contribute strong live television coverage.
• Communicate closely with the news team, show producers, and news director.
• Participate in station-related events and perform additional assigned duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism.
• 1–2 years of reporting experience.
• Fluent English and Spanish, including reading and writing.
• Strong reporting skills and the ability to report live.
• Solid news judgment and a strong understanding of ethical and legal issues in news gathering.
• Ability to think quickly, respond appropriately in high-pressure situations, and work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, social media proficiency, attention to detail, initiative, and collaborative working ability.
• Current authorization to work full-time in the United States.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, type, and sit for up to eight hours.
