What you will do

• Present news stories and other content clearly, engagingly, and meaningfully across multiple platforms.
• Work with management to develop and enterprise stories daily.
• Deliver compelling storytelling through live shots, stand-ups, creative graphics, and digital and social media.
• Organize material, determine the story angle or emphasis, and write stories according to editorial style and format standards.
• Gather and verify information through interviews, observation, and research, while developing a network of sources.
• Perform special projects and other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, or a related field required; equivalent years of experience may substitute for education.
• Three years of television anchoring or reporting experience required.
• Demonstrated vocal delivery, camera presence, and clear enunciation.
• Strong reporting skills and an understanding of the importance of social media.
• Excellent reading, writing, spelling, grammar, and organizational skills.
• Ability to promote teamwork and maintain a cooperative attitude with station personnel.
• Ability to operate newsroom computer systems.
