Lifestyle Show Host

Location: Springfield, Missouri, United States; early-morning schedule; in-studio and on-location work required.

What you will do

• Host daily on-camera contributions to a three-hour weekday lifestyle show.
• Conduct nonscripted interviews with guests and clients in the studio and on location.
• Research show topics and develop questions for guests.
• Book non-paid guests and build relationships with guests, clients, community members, and contributors.
• Coordinate with sales representatives on sponsored content and participate in station-sponsored and other promotional events.
• Post show segments to the station website, update Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, and contribute to streaming programming.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a host or on-air personality.
• Energetic, positive, and effective in a team environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to ad-lib when required.
• Excellent reading, writing, spelling, grammar, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and with direction or assistance from the department manager.
• Ability to work with a wide range of personalities, guests, and clients.
• Basic understanding of video editing systems.
• Solid understanding of TV studio production processes in live and recorded formats.
• Ability to work quickly and change direction with show content on the fly.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Knowledge of OBS or vMix.
• Experience with Akta or Anvato.
• Experience with Trello.
• Experience with WordPress.
