Senior Product Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote Kentucky, United States; occasional travel to hirify.global offices may be required for training or meetings. Home or hybrid home/office work requires a dedicated space protecting member PHI/HIPAA information and internet service with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds.

Salary: $106,900–$147,000 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Work with users and stakeholders to understand problems, shape the roadmap, define work, and write user stories.
• Run discovery, technical spikes, and prototypes before committing to full implementation.
• Design, develop, and deploy WCAG 2.2-compliant user interfaces, GraphQL APIs, and Node.js microservices on Azure.
• Own outcomes by measuring adoption, accessibility, performance, and reliability.
• Build and maintain AI coding skills and tooling, including reusable instructions for AI agents.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers in cross-functional Agile teams while maintaining technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 5 years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years of full-stack web development.
• At least 2 years of experience each with React, Node.js, and GraphQL, including building accessible interfaces meeting WCAG 2.2.
• Experience owning product or technical direction, such as shaping a roadmap or turning ambiguous problems into shipped outcomes.
• Daily hands-on experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor, including reviewing and refining generated output.
• Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions with incomplete information.
• Clear written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback in code reviews and design discussions and bring structure to ambiguous problems.

Nice to have

• Test-driven development with Vitest, Jest, or Playwright.
• Deploying microservices to Azure with Docker or Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Micro-frontend architecture with Module Federation, including shared modules and cross-app dependencies.
• React applications using TanStack Query, TanStack Router, TanStack Start, or Next.js.
• Integrating AI into production features or writing AI agent skills.
