Lead or Staff Fullstack Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Lambda’s San Francisco office four days per week; Tuesday is the designated work-from-home day.

Salary: $349,000–$465,000 annual salary, plus cash and equity compensation.

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate end-to-end Cloud Console experiences across React and TypeScript, APIs, and backend services.
• Own major customer-facing initiatives from discovery and technical design through rollout, measurement, and iteration.
• Turn compute, networking, identity, governance, support, usage, and billing capabilities into intuitive customer workflows.
• Partner with Product, Design, API Experience, Billing, Platform, and Support teams on cohesive multi-system features.
• Establish architecture and engineering practices that improve performance, reliability, accessibility, observability, testing, and developer velocity.
• Provide technical leadership through design and code reviews, documentation, mentoring, roadmap planning, and operational ownership.

Requirements

• Extensive experience building and operating production web applications across frontend and backend systems.
• Strong experience leading substantial customer-facing systems in fast-moving environments.
• High proficiency with React and TypeScript.
• Ability to design and reason about APIs, service boundaries, data models, asynchronous workflows, and distributed-system failure modes.
• Strong product judgment, clear technical communication, cross-team alignment, and ownership of testing, observability, incident response, and production outcomes.
• Ability to work from the San Francisco office four days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud consoles, infrastructure products, or enterprise SaaS applications.
• Familiarity with GPU infrastructure, Kubernetes, networking, identity and access management, or cloud control planes.
• Experience evolving frontend architecture or design systems across multiple teams.
