Insurance & Alternative Solutions Intern (Risk Management)

Location: Hybrid in Dallas, TX; office attendance required at least 3 days per week. The internship runs from June 2027 through August 2027.

Base compensation: $25.00 hourly.

What you will do

• Support insurance due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions through risk analysis, policy review, and risk management recommendations.
• Manage insurance coverage queries and midterm documentation requests from portfolio companies and Blackstone.
• Collect, organize, and retain contracts, policies, certificates, and risk management documentation.
• Use the Risk Management Information System (RMIS) to track exposures and policy data and support forecasts, allocations, and reporting.
• Educate internal teams and portfolio companies on insurance coverage, risk mitigation strategies, and compliance with risk objectives.
• Support corporate governance by aligning policies and processes with company guidelines and regulations.

Requirements

• Current junior undergraduate student at an accredited four-year institution.
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in an analytical field focused on reasoning, questioning, and investigation.
• Minimum GPA of 3.2.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
• Curiosity and desire to learn Risk Management functions, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Responsiveness expected within 24 hours of a request.
• Eligibility to be a college student during the June–August 2027 internship period.
