Senior Business Analyst, Technology (Financial Services)

Location: Hybrid in Saint Petersburg, Florida, United States; three days per week in the corporate office, including Monday or Friday. Occasional non-standard shifts, including nights or weekends, may be required. Travel is less than 25%.

What you will do

• Facilitate large-scale account conversions and implement technology solutions for ACATS, Mass Account Transfers, and related systems.
• Create detailed functional and non-functional business requirements covering business processes, rules, data, and security.
• Gather and interpret information from databases, interviews, and other sources, then make recommendations based on data analysis.
• Support application development teams by documenting business processes and translating technical concepts for business stakeholders and business information for technical teams.
• Develop estimates, implementation plans, project schedules, reports, and documentation; lead small to medium projects or provide direction when required.
• Work with UX and design resources on prototypes, manage risks, issues, and changes, and validate test cases and scripts.

Requirements

• Three to six years of general experience, including three to five years of relevant technical business analysis or technical analysis experience preferred.
• Financial Services experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Computer and Information Science; high school education is also listed as required.
• Experience working with IT and business stakeholders at various levels and gathering business requirements.
• Experience with data analysis, data mapping, and querying relational databases, including Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Knowledge of requirements gathering, risk management, issue tracking, change management, project planning, and tracking.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and experience working through its phases with peers and IT partners.
• Knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid software development methodologies and software testing methodologies.
• Clear written and verbal communication, effective presentations and technical documentation, analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word; ability to own responsibilities, document business processes, collaborate, and act as a liaison between application development and business operations.

Nice to have

• Experience with Mainframe, HP NonStop, or SIS Back Office.
• Experience with reporting and data visualization tools such as SSRS or Tableau.
