AI and Quantum Scientist Co-op

Location: Toronto, ON; Job location: Toronto-81 Bay, 21st Floor. Work arrangement, including the proportion of onsite and remote work, will be discussed during the interview. Candidates must be legally eligible to work at the specified location and may need a valid work or study permit.

What you will do

• Evaluate and implement innovative quantum and quantum-inspired algorithms for complex computational problems.
• Apply quantum optimization, quantum machine learning, graph theory, and quantum computational complexity in implementation and testing.
• Collaborate with team members on research projects and algorithm development.
• Support the development and deployment of quantum solutions.
• Work across the research lifecycle, including collaboration with academic institutions and building production systems with product, technology, and business partners.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a relevant degree in Quantum Information, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Must be currently enrolled in post-secondary education and returning to full-time studies.
• Understanding of quantum computing concepts and current developments in artificial intelligence.
• Demonstrated expertise in the developmental implementation of quantum algorithms.
• Proficiency in Python, Qiskit, and PennyLane.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
• Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn new tools, frameworks, and technical and business concepts.
• Commitment to trust, teamwork, and accountability.

Nice to have

• Experience writing business decks and process documentation.
• Enrollment in a registered Co-op program is not required.
