Product Owner (Telematics)

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States; onsite Monday through Thursday with flexible work location on Fridays.

Annual base salary: $122,700–$254,300.

What you will do

• Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for telematics web and mobile applications.
• Research transportation-industry markets and competitors, and identify product opportunities and trends.
• Gather and prioritize requirements, manage the product backlog, and translate requirements into user stories and technical specifications with engineering teams.
• Oversee product development from concept through launch, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality applications.
• Coordinate customers, partners, senior management, engineering, design, marketing, and sales stakeholders.
• Define KPIs, analyze data and user feedback, conduct usability testing, and optimize product performance and user experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role driving enterprise application development.
• At least 4 years of experience as an Applications Developer.
• Strong understanding of telematics, fleet management, and the transportation industry.
• Proven experience launching and managing web and mobile applications.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Proficiency with product management tools such as ADO, JIRA, Confluence, or similar.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Experience with IoT and connected vehicle technologies.
• Knowledge of data analytics and machine learning applications in telematics.
• Product Management certification such as CSPO or Pragmatic Institute.
