Area Manager, Fulfillment Operations (Ecommerce Logistics)

Location: 400 Smoke Tree Plz, North Aurora, Illinois, United States. Onsite fulfillment-center role with multiple shifts, including rotating and non-traditional hours.

Salary: $70,000–$75,000 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary performance bonus.

What you will do

• Manage, coach, and develop a team of 30+ warehouse associates, including temporary and full-time employees.
• Review forecasts, establish productivity requirements, and partner with other Area Managers to balance labor across shifts.
• Track and report operational metrics including VCPO, UPH, OPH, receiving and shipping performance, merchant SLAs, and injury rates.
• Identify process improvements, troubleshoot operational issues, and implement solutions to maintain performance standards.
• Ensure associates and leads receive appropriate training, feedback, coaching, and accountability.
• Support safety, OSHA compliance, quality procedures, hygiene standards, employee engagement, timecard approval, and escalated issue resolution.

Requirements

• 2+ years of people management and operational leadership experience in a high-volume 3PL fulfillment environment.
• Experience managing performance, delivering feedback, and training and developing employees.
• Strong analytical and KPI-management skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power BI, and TMS systems.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and non-traditional hours onsite.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk continuously during 8–10 hour shifts.

• Experience in ecommerce, retail, or manufacturing.
