2027 Future Talent Program - Global Communications Intern (AI Focus) - Intern

Location: Rahway, New Jersey, United States; hybrid schedule with attendance at the Rahway office three times a week. No relocation. No travel required. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary range: $39,908–$111,111 USD.

What you will do

• Explore how AI agents can support communications teams by identifying and evaluating use cases, contributing to early-stage agent development, and informing future tool priorities.
• Draft promotional communications, announcements, launch communications, intranet features, newsletter items, and success stories for the AI program.
• Create pilot-user communications, including onboarding notes, release updates, quick-start guides, and frequently asked questions.
• Develop presentations for sponsors, leadership, pilot sessions, and showcases that translate technical progress into clear stories and visuals.
• Test AI tools using structured test cases, document successes and shortcomings, and share findings with the build team.
• Partner with cross-functional subject matter experts, research peer-company and industry communications about AI, and support day-to-day incubation-team projects.

Requirements

• Currently in the junior year or above of a college degree, preferably in Communications, Marketing/Public Relations, Journalism, English, Business, or a related field.
• Available to work full-time from May 2027 through August 2027.
• Hands-on experience using at least one generative AI tool, such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or Gemini.
• Computer proficiency with Windows-based applications, including PowerPoint and Word.
• Clear, persuasive writing with strong proofreading, editing, and grammar skills.
• Understanding of basic communications, public relations, and internal marketing principles.
• Ability to build presentations that tell a story and explain technical topics in plain language to diverse audiences.
• Strong project-management, organizational, oral-communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and collaboration skills; ability to work with communicators and technologists in a fast-paced environment.
• Curiosity about how AI is changing communications, willingness to learn and ask questions, and willingness to identify when a tool produces an incorrect result.

Nice to have

• Coursework or projects in artificial intelligence, including prompt design or building custom assistants.
• SharePoint experience.
• Video, social-media, and presentation-design experience.
