Senior Manager, People Operations (Video Games)

Location: Los Angeles, CA or Remote US

Base pay: $181,000–$216,000 per year; additional incentive compensation may include equity and profit share.

What you will do

• Advise and coach senior leadership on interpersonal dynamics, organizational design, workforce planning, and performance management.
• Translate the studio roadmap and production milestones into proactive people strategy and surface workforce, talent, and organizational implications.
• Lead the People Team across HR, talent acquisition, compensation, employee relations, DEI, and workplace operations in a globally distributed environment.
• Guide organizational change involving reporting lines, ownership clarity, and new initiatives.
• Own compensation strategy and decisions, including pay structure, leveling, and equity.
• Own employee relations, compliance, engagement survey actions, DEI initiatives, organizational health, and workforce analytics.

Requirements

• 8+ years of HR generalist or HR Business Partner experience, including direct ownership of employee relations, compensation, and compliance.
• Experience shipping at least one video game; console and PC experience preferred.
• Experience participating in leadership or executive staff meetings as a standing strategic advisor.
• Experience leading or managing a small cross-functional team spanning recruiting, HR operations, and workplace.
• Strong coaching and consulting skills, with the ability to build leaders' judgment rather than only resolve individual issues.
• Ability to move between strategic advisory work and hands-on execution.
• Experience working in a remote environment.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, psychology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
