Senior Technical Claims Specialist (Commercial Property Claims)

Location: Open to all hirify.global offices nationally in Australia; hybrid role with a mix of working from home and office work.

What you will do

• Provide technical expertise across large and complex commercial property claims, including Business Interruption and Industrial Special Risks claims.
• Manage an end-to-end portfolio of complex commercial property claims valued at $1 million or more.
• Support claim assessment, repair, settlement, and management outcomes in line with jurisdictional requirements and claims strategy.
• Partner with customers, brokers, loss adjusters, builders, suppliers, and senior claims officers throughout the claims process.
• Coach and mentor Senior Claims Officers and other claims team members to strengthen technical capability.
• Contribute to claims strategy, team objectives, and improvements in end-to-end claims management performance.

Requirements

• Extensive experience managing large and complex commercial property claims valued at $1 million or more.
• Experience managing Industrial Special Risks (ISR) claims.
• Previous experience coaching or leading a team.
• Strong technical capability in commercial property claims.
• Focus on improving end-to-end claims management performance.
• Self-motivated and resilient approach with strong customer empathy and professionalism.
• Ability to work through complex claims and periods of change while maintaining a professional and empathetic customer focus.
