Assoc. Dir, DSCS Digital Technologies, Decision Intelligence (m/f/d)

Location: Hybrid role available in Leopardstown, Dublin, Ireland; Rahway, New Jersey, United States; or West Point, Pennsylvania, United States.

Salary: USD 142,400–224,100 annual base salary for the additional US location; eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.

What you will do

• Translate DSCS business processes and stakeholder requirements into mathematical models, technical specifications, simulations, and optimization frameworks.
• Develop probabilistic forecasting, stochastic optimization, machine learning, and discrete-event simulation solutions for complex business decisions.
• Design and optimize scalable data foundations and pipelines using Databricks, Python, Dataverse, and advanced SQL to create AI-ready data products.
• Design, test, and implement agentic AI workflows with tools such as Copilot Studio, and develop WebApps for interaction with data products and model outputs.
• Develop business cases, define and track KPIs, communicate model outputs as interpretable business insights, and support digital transformation across DSCS.
• Collaborate with SMEs, change management, shared services, system architects, and the Agentic Intelligence team; document solutions and provide training and technical support.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in data science, operations research, data engineering, or a related highly technical role.
• Experience in pharmaceutical development and/or clinical supply chain. Understanding of CMC development across small-molecule, large-molecule, and vaccine modalities is strongly preferred.
• Strong expertise in Python and experience building and deploying advanced machine learning models.
• Experience gathering complex requirements from non-technical stakeholders and translating them into actionable technical roadmaps.
• Familiarity with or strong interest in Agentic AI and integrating AI agents into workflows.
• Proven experience with GitHub for version control; high comfort with AI-assisted development tools such as Cline; proficiency with VS Code or an equivalent integrated development environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to formulate mathematical problem statements and corresponding technical solutions.
• Ability to build trust-based relationships and influence diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior executives; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Independent decision-making ability, proactive project leadership, and a focus on delivering results.
• PhD with at least 1 year of experience, or a bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience, in Engineering, Operations Research, Data Science, or a comparable technical field.
