Cyber Security Lead

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid role. Right to work in the UK is required; visa sponsorship may be considered at QBE’s discretion.

What you will do

• Lead cyber and information security risk management across the core business, third-party suppliers, programs, and projects.
• Deliver cyber security advisory and operational capabilities, partnering with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks.
• Identify security weaknesses, investigate root causes, and drive mitigation through to secure resolution.
• Develop cyber security awareness, technical capability, decision-making confidence, and collaborative relationships across QBE.
• Develop, execute, and assure cyber practices, including policies, standards, processes, and templates.
• Manage and quality-assure outsourced security arrangements, service-level agreements, quality controls, compliance, and security benefits.

• Ability to manage and mitigate 24x7 cyber threats with resilience and tenacity while maintaining work-life balance.
• Solution-oriented and able to take complex problems through to delivery.
• Ability to support the development of cyber services and talent, building technical excellence and decision-making confidence.
• Expertise in assessing how people or technology could be exploited and applying an adversarial mindset.
• Deep technical ability applied effectively in a business environment.
• Expertise in at least one of: Identity and Access Management, Data Security, Threat and Vulnerability Management, Third-Party Risk, Cyber Security Infrastructure, or Cyber Security Operations.
• Strong decision-making ability when addressing complex and business-critical threats.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, conflict management, listening, writing, summarization, and presentation skills.
• Curious, enquiring, fast-paced, and agile approach to meeting business needs.
