What you will do

• Lead finance operations and ensure timely submission of financial information for consolidation.
• Analyse financial data, identify trends, and prepare reports for senior management.
• Assess, document, and continuously improve divisional finance processes and systems.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on programmes resulting from regulatory change.
• Develop strategic plans for assigned regions and provide input to the VP of Finance Services.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships, oversee service delivery, and provide technical accounting guidance and compliance support.

Requirements

• Significant relevant work experience.
• Tertiary qualifications or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Certification as an accountant.

Nice to have

• Strong financial accounting background, including CA, CPA, or equivalent certification, with continuous professional development.
• Extensive post-qualification technical accounting experience in general insurance and experience in general insurance or reinsurance.
• Experience preparing consolidated financial statements.
• Experience working with people at all organizational levels and extensive experience in a finance team or accounting practice.
• Experience in strategic analysis, reporting process development, and management and financial reporting environments.
• Supervisory or management experience within Finance.
• Experience contributing to the management of a complex financial services business.
• Experience building, leading, and retaining talent in a finance operations environment.
