Senior Python Developer with AI

hirify.global is supporting an academic medical center in New York City with system architecture modernization and internal data tooling.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions.
• Rebuild the current system architecture and develop a data update tool integrated with a ticketing system.
• Explore technologies, build prototypes, and create proofs of concept.
• Collaborate with teams to clarify requirements and deliver solutions.
• Ensure code quality, reliability, and maintainability.
• Own technical tasks from concept through delivery.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience and strong Python expertise.
• Experience with AI coding agents and LLM API integrations.
• Familiarity with Spec-Driven Development.
• Experience with Git, Docker, and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to work independently, rapidly prototype ideas, and solve ambiguous problems.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Nice to have

• Kubernetes, Ansible, or cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience taking ideas from concept to working solutions.
• Experience with AI agent orchestration and automation workflows.

• Technical interview via Google Meet, approximately 2 hours.
• Non-technical recruitment conversation followed by a 30–90 minute client interview.
