Enterprise AI Architect

Location: Fully remote within Poland, Portugal, Spain, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, the Czech Republic, or Germany; sustained working-hours overlap with the US or Western Europe is required.

What you will do

• Define the technical shape of the client's AI capability, including standards, shared components, platform choices, and release strategy.
• Work with CTOs, enterprise architects, senior business stakeholders, and domain experts to shape objectives, solutions, scope, estimates, and expected impact.
• Design, build, test, and maintain reusable AI skills, supporting scripts, validation logic, reference data, and shared components.
• Build evaluation layers with golden cases, acceptance criteria, and regression checks for non-deterministic AI systems.
• Integrate AI workflows with client platforms and sensitive HR and compensation data while applying security and compliance judgment.
• Lead two engineers through technical direction, code review, unblocking, and enforcement of authoring, versioning, and release standards.

Requirements

• Proven architectural ownership of real systems, including module boundaries, reuse, versioning, integrations, and non-functional constraints.
• Hands-on production engineering experience with a modern stack and professional practices including version control, code review, automated testing, and CI/CD.
• Experience shipping real LLM-backed systems and using agentic patterns such as tool use, function calling, MCP, prompt engineering, context engineering, structured instructions, and orchestration.
• Experience evaluating and improving non-deterministic systems using test sets, measurable acceptance criteria, and results-driven iteration.
• Ability to make and defend platform-level decisions, communicate trade-offs to non-technical audiences, and shape solutions in presales contexts.
• English at C1 level and sustained working-hours overlap with the US or Western Europe are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Claude Code, Claude Code Skills, plugins, or MCP servers.
• Experience with LLM evaluation tooling such as promptfoo, LangSmith, or custom harnesses.
• Consulting or professional services experience.
• Exposure to HR technology, compensation and benefits, payroll, or workforce analytics.
• Public artefacts such as open-source agent tooling, published skills or plugins, conference talks, or technical writing on agentic engineering.
