Mechanical Engineer (Mechanical Seals)

Location: Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; on-site customer visits are required.

Salary: CAD 80,000–CAD 100,000 yearly.

What you will do

• Provide technical assistance on product types, construction materials, designs, and applications to sales teams.
• Train sales personnel and customers on products and applications.
• Analyze product designs and prepare application documentation.
• Review and approve manufacturing drawing layouts and details against end-user requirements, operating conditions, technical literature, and specialized calculations.
• Analyze and resolve product failures, documenting observations and recommendations in failure reports.
• Meet end users on site to troubleshoot product problems, perform installations, and assemble or test products as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, mechanical seals, compressors, pumps, and hydraulic systems.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar technical role within an industrial environment.
• High computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and CAD software, specifically Solid Edge.

Nice to have

• Working toward a P.Eng. designation.
