Commissioning Agent (Mechanical)

Location: Remote, Alberta, Canada; frequent travel throughout Alberta and on-site commissioning are required.

Compensation: $80,000–$95,000

What you will do

• Provide commissioning services through off-site development work and on-site physical verification.
• Use cloud-based commissioning technology and software.
• Develop detailed functional performance test procedures.
• Attend, chair, and document commissioning and related meetings.
• Complete on-site commissioning forms and identify deficiencies.
• Represent VSC Group at site meetings, present progress, identify contractor requirements, and answer contractor and client or owner representative questions.

Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering degree or a related technologist or technician diploma or degree.
• 2+ years of equivalent MEP construction, commissioning, and project management experience.
• Computer literacy with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Project.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to respond thoughtfully and effectively to sensitive situations.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and demonstrate strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; travel throughout Alberta to perform commissioning services is required.
