Service Representative, Brokerage Placement – Commercial Lines

What you will do

• Handle policy status requests, certificates of insurance, renewal follow-ups, and related policy service activities by phone and electronically.
• Assist underwriters and agencies with support activities and complete transactions in a first-time-final mode.
• Accept, modify, or decline lower-complexity business; classify risks, determine applicable markets, evaluate endorsements, and prioritize daily work.
• Research information from multiple sources to support underwriting analysis and review risks against carrier guidelines, state regulations, and surplus lines requirements.
• Consult with agents and internal and external partners, communicate information, route higher-level issues, and recommend process improvements.
• Meet agreed timelines and service-level agreements while supporting profitable book growth, policies in force, and premium growth.

Requirements

• P&C License and Surplus Lines License or L&H License in all states, if required by the product line, within 45 days.
• Undergraduate studies in business administration or a related field; a degree is preferred.

Nice to have

• One year of related insurance experience; an undergraduate degree may be considered in lieu of experience.
