Small Business Territory Manager (Insurance)

Location: Hybrid role based in Scottsdale, Arizona, United States; approximately 20% automobile travel within the assigned territory is required.

Salary: USD 118,000–152,000 per year, plus incentive plan eligibility.

What you will do

• Manage the success, profitability, production, and service standards of small business activities within the region.
• Supervise, train, coach, and provide feedback to Small Business Underwriters and AMS Assistants.
• Monitor adherence to underwriting guidelines, company procedures, consumer standards, and technical requirements.
• Build relationships with agencies through regular communication and visits to agent offices.
• Partner with field operations, territory managers, inside underwriting teams, AMSs, and corporate staff to set and achieve regional financial goals.
• Promote technology adoption, marketing strategies, communications, and operational efficiency for agents and internal teams.

Requirements

• College degree and 6 years of experience in underwriting, agency management, marketing, or field underwriting.
• Superior leadership, communication, presentation, networking, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to develop financial, underwriting, marketing, and sales acumen.
• Ability to motivate, lead, and develop Small Business Underwriters.
• Valid state-issued driver's license in good standing and ability to drive an automobile.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement in Scottsdale, Arizona, with travel to agent offices.

Nice to have

• 3 years of supervisory experience.
• 1 year of loss control experience.
• 1 year of claims experience.
