Small Business Territory Manager (Insurance)

Location: Scottsdale, Arizona; hybrid role with approximately 20% automobile travel within the territory

Salary: USD $118,000–$152,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage the success and profitability of small-business insurance within the assigned region.
• Supervise, train, coach, and monitor Small Business Underwriters and AMS Assistants.
• Monitor adherence to underwriting guidelines, service standards, workflows, and productivity requirements.
• Partner with field operations, territory managers, agency management, and corporate teams to set and achieve regional financial goals.
• Build agency relationships through office visits and regular contact with key agency staff.
• Promote technology adoption and participate in conferences, producer councils, and regional sales meetings.

Requirements

• College degree and 6 years of experience in underwriting, agency management, marketing, or field underwriting.
• Superior leadership, communication, presentation, customer service, networking, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to develop financial, underwriting, marketing, and sales expertise.
• Ability to motivate, lead, and develop Small Business Underwriters.
• Valid state-issued driver's license in good standing and ability to drive an automobile are required.

Nice to have

• Three years of supervisory experience.
• One year of loss control experience.
• One year of claims experience.
