AI Solution Architect

Location: Colombia; remote home-office role

What you will do

• Design end-to-end Generative AI applications, LLM-powered workflows, intelligent agents, RAG solutions, virtual assistants, and intelligent automation.
• Translate business requirements into technical architectures covering models, services, data sources, integrations, and infrastructure.
• Build and validate prototypes and proofs of concept, then collaborate with AI engineers, software engineers, data scientists, and data engineers to move solutions into production.
• Design agentic patterns including tool calling, orchestration, memory, retrieval, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise applications, APIs, microservices, data platforms, vector databases, and cloud services; build reusable AI components, services, APIs, and architectural patterns.
• Evaluate models, frameworks, and platforms while incorporating Responsible AI, security, privacy, compliance, evaluation, monitoring, observability, LLMOps, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Data Science, AI, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience in software engineering, solution or cloud engineering, data/AI engineering, or solution architecture.
• Hands-on experience designing and building AI/ML or Generative AI solutions.
• Working knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, vector search, and AI agents.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS, as well as APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications.
• Strong Python skills and the ability to build prototypes and reference implementations.
• Experience with version control, testing, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Awareness of AI security, data privacy, Responsible AI, and governance in enterprise settings; strong analytical and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary, distributed teams; fluent written and spoken English and Spanish.

Nice to have

• Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or similar enterprise Generative AI platforms.
• LangGraph, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, CrewAI, or other agent and orchestration frameworks.
• End-to-end RAG implementation, including document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, retrieval strategies, and evaluation.
• Azure AI Search or other vector database and enterprise search technologies; LLMOps experience with evaluation, tracing, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Snowflake or other modern data platforms; containers, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code.
• Experience in healthcare, life sciences, MedTech, financial services, or other regulated industries.
• Microsoft, AWS, or equivalent cloud, AI, or architecture certifications.
• Portuguese language skills.
