Senior AI Lead (LLM and RAG)

Location: Monterrey, Mexico; Montevideo, Uruguay; Remote in a LATAM country; Brazil; Colombia; Rosario, Argentina.

What you will do

• Act as the primary AI consultant, identify AI-driven innovation opportunities, and develop AI strategy aligned with business goals.
• Lead assessment, prioritization, roadmap planning, and delivery of AI initiatives across business units.
• Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to scope, design, and deliver AI solutions.
• Guide technology, framework, and architecture decisions involving LLMs, RAG, AI agents, prompt engineering, and MLOps pipelines.
• Establish responsible AI governance, usage policies, ethical guardrails, KPIs, adoption metrics, and ROI frameworks.
• Mentor team members, run workshops and enablement sessions, manage stakeholder communication, and guide AI-augmented and agent-orchestrated ways of working.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in AI consulting, solution architecture, or related roles with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience with AI and ML technologies including LLMs, NLP, computer vision, conversational AI, RAG architectures, and MLOps.
• Experience driving AI initiatives from ideation through design and implementation in enterprise environments.
• Experience working with clients and executive leadership to translate business needs into AI solutions.
• Hands-on collaboration with development teams and data scientists across the AI and ML toolchain, including Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Jupyter, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of AI ethics, data privacy, responsible AI principles, AI governance frameworks, and organizational policy development.
• Experience designing and delivering AI training, enablement, or internal advocacy programs that drive measurable adoption.
• Understanding of Agentic SDLC methodologies and AI-native delivery practices.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Q Developer, Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Studio, Cognitive Services, Google Cloud Vertex AI, Gemini API, or Document AI.
• Experience with MLflow, Kubeflow, Weights & Biases, or SageMaker Pipelines.
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, or Haystack.
• Familiarity with Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, Qdrant, pgvector, or Elasticsearch with kNN.
