Finance & Strategy Manager (Fintech)

Location: Remote in the United States; remote locations listed in Austin, Houston, Raleigh, and Seattle.

Salary: $150,000–$180,000 base salary annually; total compensation ranges from $200,000 to $220,000 annually and includes equity and potential incentives.

What you will do

• Build and maintain integrated financial models, scenario and sensitivity analyses, and business cases for products, partnerships, and investments.
• Evaluate commercial agreement economics, including pricing, revenue share, unit economics, ROI, and deal terms.
• Support fundraising, M&A, capital allocation, forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-range planning.
• Lead monthly and quarterly reviews of actuals versus plan and forecast, explaining variances and identifying risks and opportunities.
• Partner with business leaders on market sizing, investment prioritization, cost optimization, and strategic decisions.
• Prepare executive-, board-, and investor-ready materials and automate recurring reporting and analysis with SQL, BigQuery, and AI tools.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, strategic finance, or FP&A. Investment banking or private equity experience as an Analyst or Associate is preferred.
• Advanced financial modeling skills, including three-statement models, DCF, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis.
• Expertise in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Solid understanding of accounting and connections between the three financial statements.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance partners and present to senior leaders.
• Working knowledge of SQL or demonstrated ability to learn technical tools quickly.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot to work faster and automate repetitive tasks.
• Strong ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and a builder mindset.
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Math, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline.

Nice to have

• Experience in technology, fintech, travel, marketplaces, or B2B partnerships.
• Experience with Python or BI tools such as Looker or Tableau.
• CFA, CPA, or MBA.
