Strategic Finance Partner (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; hybrid work model with 3 days in the office per week. Relocation assistance is available to new employees.

Salary: $234,000–$260,000 base pay annually, plus equity, performance-related bonuses for eligible employees, and benefits.

What you will do

• Partner with Product and GTM leaders to incubate and launch new B2B products.
• Evaluate early opportunities, commercial viability, pricing, packaging, and business development deal structures.
• Build financial foundations, forecasts, revenue targets, product P&Ls, and decision-making frameworks for scaling products.
• Establish and monitor product revenue, gross margin, contribution margin, user lifetime value, and other leading-indicator metrics.
• Analyze market trends and competitive dynamics, and create executive- and Board-facing presentations.
• Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, Data, GTM, Strategic Deal Desk, Compute Finance, Capacity Planning, and other teams to improve forecasting and reporting.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, or buy-side investing, combined with operational experience at a fast-paced, scaling company.
• Direct ownership of strategic finance, product finance, commercial finance, pricing and monetization, or product P&Ls in a complex B2B business.
• Experience partnering cross-functionally across Product, GTM, and Data Science, with the ability to influence senior leaders when incentives or priorities conflict.
• Expert modeling skills, including detailed product P&Ls and operating models.
• Ability to turn complex financial data into actionable insights and communicate effectively with leadership.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to create compelling data-driven narratives.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
• Familiarity with business models and metrics relevant to the organization, including contribution margin analysis.
• Experience with SQL and AI fluency, including using tools such as Codex to automate workflows, build analytical tools, and improve the speed and quality of financial analysis.
