Governance & Assurance Delivery, Lead

Location: Toronto, Canada; flexible hybrid work model.

Salary: CAD 140,000–160,000 annually, plus eligibility for a short-term incentive plan.

What you will do

• Establish and maintain enterprise delivery standards, governance frameworks, stage gates, policies, controls, decision authorities, and escalation paths.
• Drive consistent portfolio governance and initiative oversight while keeping governance practical, scalable, and aligned with organizational priorities.
• Provide independent oversight through governance reviews, health checks, delivery assurance assessments, gate reviews, and approval activities.
• Identify, escalate, and track governance gaps, delivery risks, non-compliance, unresolved issues, and required corrective actions.
• Partner with Risk, Security, Architecture, Finance, Legal, Privacy, Audit, Compliance, and other control functions to manage delivery obligations and risks.
• Develop governance dashboards, compliance reporting, executive insights, supporting documentation, and continuous improvements to governance processes and tools.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise delivery governance, portfolio governance, operating model leadership, risk management, audit, assurance, delivery excellence, or a related discipline.
• Experience designing and operating governance frameworks, standards, and controls across large, complex delivery portfolios.
• Strong understanding of delivery lifecycles, portfolio oversight, risk management, controls, and assurance practices.
• Ability to influence senior leaders, hold teams accountable, and constructively challenge decisions using data, facts, and sound reasoning.
• Experience leading governance forums and providing clear, objective reporting and recommendations to executives.
• Strong analytical, facilitation, and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance rigour and pragmatism.
• Eligibility to work for hirify.global Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, payments, technology, or another highly regulated environment.
• Experience working with audit, compliance, architecture, security, and regulatory stakeholders.
• PMP, PMI-RMP, CRISC, CISSP, PRINCE2, COBIT, ITIL, or an equivalent certification.
