Director, Program Management (Biotechnology)

Location: Fully remote within the United States; occasional domestic and international travel of up to 30% is required.

Annual salary: $175,000–$225,000, plus eligible bonus/incentive pay.

What you will do

• Lead the Aldevron Business Unit Program Management organization, including Program Managers, talent strategy, succession planning, capability development, and organizational effectiveness.
• Provide strategic oversight of complex, high-value client portfolios, aligning customer priorities, business objectives, capacity, and operational execution.
• Establish portfolio governance processes covering risk identification, escalation, decision-making, resource prioritization, and cross-functional coordination.
• Serve as an executive contact for strategic customers through remote engagement, client visits, business reviews, and escalation discussions.
• Partner with Commercial, Project Management, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Technical leaders to improve execution, revenue realization, customer satisfaction, and business performance.
• Drive continuous improvement and standardization through the hirify.global Business System, performance metrics, visual management, and data-driven portfolio reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Program Management, Project Management, Operations, Commercial Operations, or related business leadership functions within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, CDMO, life sciences, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• 5+ years of people leadership experience managing managers and professional teams across geographically dispersed organizations.
• Experience managing complex customer portfolios, strategic accounts, or large-scale cross-functional programs involving executive stakeholder engagement.
• Experience establishing governance frameworks, portfolio management systems, risk management processes, and business performance metrics.
• Experience driving operational excellence through structured continuous improvement methodologies such as the hirify.global Business System, Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent systems.
• Experience leading cross-functional organizations through growth, transformation, and organizational change.
• Ability to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally, including occasional overnight travel.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree such as an MBA, MS, or PhD in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience leading Program Management organizations in CDMO, biologics, genomic medicine, mRNA, cell therapy, gene therapy, or advanced therapeutics environments.
• Professional certification such as PMP, PgMP, Lean Six Sigma, or an equivalent certification.
