Project Manager - Transportation

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States (Hybrid)

Compensation: $125,000–$150,000 per year

Michael Baker International provides engineering and consulting services for transportation and other infrastructure projects, including planning, design, construction management, and program management.

What you will do

• Manage transportation and roadway projects from proposal through delivery.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across roadway design, plan production, QA/QC reviews, and technical analyses.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and fee proposals.
• Coordinate engineers, technicians, and subconsultants to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Monitor project performance, financials, quality, and resource utilization.
• Build client relationships, support business development, provide technical guidance, and mentor engineering staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minnesota Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 10+ years of transportation engineering and project management experience.
• Experience delivering highway and roadway projects for MnDOT, counties, municipalities, and other public-sector clients.
• Strong leadership, client relationship management, business development, and communication skills.
• Experience managing project scopes, budgets, schedules, quality, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency with OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, ProjectWise, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with roadway design, corridor modeling, plan production, and digital project delivery.
