Technical Project Manager (High Voltage Substations)

What you will do

• Lead the technical execution of a 400 kV AC high-voltage substation project with GIS, Control & Protection, SCADA, telecommunications, and auxiliary systems from design through installation and commissioning.
• Coordinate 7–10 discipline leads, scope managers, and engineering specialists, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
• Drive technical planning, engineering schedules, work breakdowns, critical paths, milestones, interfaces, dependencies, budgets, and progress monitoring.
• Act as the primary escalation point for technical challenges, risks, mitigation plans, and customer-facing technical solutions.
• Participate in customer meetings and technical workshops while collaborating with project management, site management, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
• Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, employer requirements, and contractual technical obligations; lead requirement management, traceability, and design reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience leading technical teams and coordinating engineering disciplines within power transmission, substations, or large infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of high-voltage substations, especially GIS and Control and Protection systems, as well as AIS, SCADA, communication, and auxiliary systems.
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards, specifications, and requirement management.
• Experience working directly with customers, contractors, and external stakeholders.
• Structured, proactive, and results-oriented leadership style, with confidence in large customer-facing meetings and technical negotiations.
• Fluent English.
