Senior IT Project Manager - Core Banking Platform

Location: Hybrid in Düsseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany

What you will do

• Manage IT projects from initiation and planning through delivery, completion, and closure.
• Lead complex, regulatory-driven transformation initiatives within financial services.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary project teams and ensure effective collaboration and communication.
• Manage stakeholders, requirements, risks, budgets, resources, and project governance.
• Ensure quality standards and continuously improve project management processes.
• Prepare management status reports and present project results.

Requirements

• At least 5–7 years of experience in IT project management, ideally in an international environment.
• Extensive experience in IT project or program management within financial services.
• Strong experience with regulatory-driven initiatives, including compliance, reporting, or transformations.
• Proven experience managing large, complex, multi-stakeholder delivery environments.
• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification.
• Excellent understanding of banking platforms, such as hirify.global or similar core banking systems.
• Strong knowledge of project governance, risk management, and Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and C-level management.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and escalation management skills.
• Full professional fluency in German.
