Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering (AI)

Location: Remote in LATAM or the US; meaningful working-hours overlap with US Eastern and Central time required.

What you will do

• Hire, coach, and grow forward deployed engineers across the USA and LATAM while establishing trust, communication, and shared standards across time zones.
• Own scope, quality, timelines, and outcomes across multiple concurrent client engagements.
• Lead client demos, architecture sessions, and delivery workshops showing how Claude Code and Claude Cowork can operate in client environments.
• Prototype, review designs, and unblock the team on agentic workflows, tool use, MCP integrations, and evaluation.
• Identify expansion opportunities, partner with account leadership to shape and scope follow-on work, and build reusable patterns, accelerators, and playbooks.
• Collaborate with data, cloud, and digital engineering teams to deliver end-to-end outcomes.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience and 2+ years leading engineers or technical teams, ideally distributed teams.
• Experience in client-facing delivery through consulting, solutions engineering, or forward deployed work.
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs and agentic patterns, including tool use, RAG, workflow orchestration, and evaluation.
• Strong Python or TypeScript skills, plus solid API design, CI/CD, and cloud fundamentals in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to explain complex technical ideas clearly to executives and engineers.
• Availability for meaningful working-hours overlap with US Eastern and Central time.
• Track record of taking ambiguous problems to production.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Claude Code, Claude Cowork, the Anthropic API, or the Model Context Protocol.
• Experience with AI governance, security, and responsible-use practices in enterprise settings.
• Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese.
• Background in data science or formal engineering training.
• Experience in a consulting or professional services environment.

Hiring process
