Lead Solution Architect (Technical Presales) (AWS)

Location: Ha Noi, Hà Nội, Vietnam; hybrid, with work at client sites when needed

What you will do

• Own technical presales from opportunity qualification and discovery through proposals, presentations, approval, and delivery handover.
• Lead client discovery covering business outcomes, current systems, constraints, stakeholders, security needs, budgets, and delivery priorities.
• Assess technical, delivery, and commercial fit, challenge weak requirements, and identify hidden dependencies and unrealistic estimates.
• Shape and review high-level architectures across software, APIs, integrations, infrastructure, cloud, data, and AI.
• Prepare proposal content covering architecture, scope, estimates, assumptions, exclusions, dependencies, risks, staffing, and implementation roadmaps.
• Present recommendations to executives and technical stakeholders, lead handovers to Delivery, and mentor Solution Architects.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, enterprise architecture, technical consulting, or senior technical leadership.
• Strong hands-on software development experience designing and delivering enterprise solutions end-to-end.
• Experience with digital transformation, technology modernization, or enterprise system implementation.
• Hands-on experience designing and delivering AWS-based solutions, including cloud migration and integration across on-premises, private cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Client-facing experience in discovery, technical consulting, solution presentation, stakeholder management, proposals, estimates, scopes of work, and delivery planning.
• Strong business English is required for client workshops, proposals, and technical presentations.

Nice to have

• Experience in banking, fintech, securities, e-commerce, or SaaS.
• Experience with data platforms, analytics, AI/ML, or agentic systems.
• AWS certifications or experience with Azure, GCP, or enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience leading RFP/RFI responses or multi-vendor solution design.
• Practical use of AI tools for research, architecture analysis, and proposal quality improvement.
