Senior Revenue Recognition Analyst

Location: Canada

Salary: $76,800–$115,200 per year, with actual salary varying based on education, experience, skills, geographic location, and internal and external market alignment.

What you will do

• Review customer contracts and ensure revenue recognition complies with ASC 606.
• Calculate percentage-of-completion revenue for professional services engagements.
• Support month-end and quarter-end revenue recognition close activities.
• Prepare journal entries, including standalone selling price allocations, maintain deferred revenue schedules, and reconcile GL accounts.
• Investigate revenue fluctuations with Billing Operations and Finance and perform ad hoc analysis for business decisions.
• Support SOX testing, internal and external audits, audit inquiries, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting and/or finance experience.
• Experience with revenue recognition, preferably ASC 606.
• Strong analytical and data analysis skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive mindset.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP and Salesforce.
• Experience in the technology, software, or cloud industry.
