Head of Clean Utilities and Sustainability (Clean Utilities)

What you will do

• Lead the safe, compliant, reliable and efficient operation and maintenance of clean utilities, black facilities and related site infrastructure, including water systems, compressors, chillers, AHUs, cooling towers and electrical systems.
• Oversee CMMS-based preventive and corrective maintenance, SOPs, reliability KPIs, performance reporting, deviation investigations, CAPA and emergency response.
• Lead the cross-functional sustainability program and roadmap covering CO2, energy, water, waste and biodiversity, including efficiency, emissions reduction and resource optimization initiatives.
• Provide utilities and sustainability input to capital and modification projects from concept through commissioning, validation, handover and close-out.
• Manage budgets, utilities consumption, contractors, vendors and stakeholder relationships while tracking schedule, cost, safety, quality and sustainability KPIs.
• Ensure EHS, GMP, regulatory and engineering compliance, lead continuous improvement, and coach and develop the technical team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent, such as Electrical, Chemical, Instrumentation or Automation Engineering.
• Technical experience managing clean and industrial utilities in complex environments.
• Demonstrated experience with Energy and Environmental management systems, programs and projects.
• Strong people management skills with demonstrated success leading and coaching technical teams.
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and influence at all organizational levels.
• CMMS proficiency, including SAP or equivalent, and a solid understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling.
• Strong written communication skills for SOPs, deviation reports, project reports and performance reports.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with BMS.
• Experience in a regulated industry such as pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical or a similar GMP/EHS environment.
• Knowledge of GMP, Change Control and Validation processes.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and engineering drawing review.
• Experience managing contractors and vendors in a live operational environment.
