Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) System Engineer

hirify.global develops analytical instrumentation, with this role supporting ICP-MS mass spectrometer manufacturing at the Singapore factory site.

What you will do

• Own critical mechanical and mechatronic assemblies, printed circuit assemblies, electronics modules, and complete products throughout the product lifecycle.
• Act as the Global Operations technical interface for NPI, representing the manufacturing system and coordinating R&D, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, product marketing, and engineering stakeholders.
• Lead the transfer of new products from development into serial production, including prototype ramp, reliability validation, and launch-readiness evaluation.
• Apply DfX principles to improve cost, quality, manufacturability, assembly, automation, scalability, supply-chain robustness, and process reliability.
• Define system-level manufacturing concepts, test strategies, industrialization approaches, and scalable architectures for assembly, calibration, and testing.
• Lead root-cause investigations, systemic corrective actions, risk-based qualification strategies, and platform-level process standards and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in a comparable engineering role.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Proven project management and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Solid understanding of complex technical systems and related development and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with technical drawings and CAD tools.
• Experience in PCBA design, manufacturing, and qualification processes.
• Structured, goal-oriented, and self-driven working style, with the ability to analyze complex technical challenges and develop practical, innovative solutions.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills in international and cross-functional settings, with ownership of technical decisions and project outcomes.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Chemistry and Physics.
• Knowledge of FMEA, DoE, DfX, Value Engineering, or similar engineering methods.
