Director of Engineering (Cybersecurity)

Location: Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel; R&D, full-time

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow Group Leads and Team Leads across multiple engineering groups.
• Own delivery, quality, reliability, and technical vision across several product areas.
• Partner with the VP R&D on R&D strategy, organizational structure, headcount planning, and engineering culture.
• Work with Product, Design, and Data leadership to convert company goals into plans, priorities, and roadmaps.
• Drive architectural and system design decisions focused on performance, security, and cost at scale.
• Set engineering standards, AI adoption practices, processes, tooling, and ways of working; lead senior engineering and management hiring and address organizational risks and bottlenecks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing managers, including multiple Team Leads and/or Group Leads.
• Willingness to perform hands-on work.
• Proven experience scaling engineering organizations and delivering complex products at scale.
• Experience in fast-moving startups.
• Strong technical depth, including the ability to go deep on architecture and code when needed.
• Ability to grow leaders and build a culture of trust, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Strategic thinking, with the ability to balance long-term vision and short-term execution and make clear decisions under ambiguity.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence peers, senior leadership, and cross-functional partners.
