Engineering Team Lead (Recon)

Location: Remote, Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Tel Aviv District, Israel

What you will do

• Lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for backend services, frontend applications, and AI agent engineering.
• Develop agentic and conversational architecture for LLM-powered interactions and intelligent workflows.
• Own the architecture of a large-scale distributed recon pipeline covering discovery, scanning, and findings.
• Improve findings quality through accuracy improvements, deduplication, risk scoring, and LLM validation.
• Define the technical roadmap, drive scalability and developer productivity, and lead migration from legacy EASM to the new Recon platform.
• Own production health, including observability, on-call, incident response, mentoring, hiring, and career development.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience and 3+ years leading and mentoring engineers.
• Strong backend development expertise with Python, Go, or similar, plus familiarity with modern frontend technologies such as React, Vue, or TypeScript.
• Understanding of developer experience, including building frameworks and tooling that help other teams move faster.
• Experience working with or integrating AI systems, LLMs, or agent-based architectures.
• Experience leading senior engineers and reviewing their designs and code.
• Experience with distributed systems and data pipelines at scale, plus workflow orchestration such as Temporal or similar.
• Experience with MongoDB or OpenSearch at scale, Kubernetes, AWS, and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of internet infrastructure, including DNS, TLS, IP/ASN, and networking.
• Strong collaboration skills, a hands-on and pragmatic startup mindset, product orientation, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with agent orchestration, context management, or retrieval-augmented architectures.
• Experience in cybersecurity, EASM, vulnerability management, or offensive security.
• Experience with scanning tools and internet-scan data such as nmap, Nuclei, Censys, or Shodan.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-moving environments with high ownership and autonomy.
