Building Envelope Intern

Location: Chicago, Illinois, USA; onsite. Internship starts Summer 2027.

Salary: $21–$36 per hour.

hirify.global provides engineering and scientific consulting services for architects, building owners, and developers across the building life cycle, including design, construction support, assessment, restoration, and rehabilitation.

What you will do

• Assist with field inspections and data collection for building envelopes and architectural systems.
• Support assessments of system performance, code compliance, renovation feasibility, and restoration design.
• Prepare technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports for project teams and clients.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, constructible solutions.

Requirements

• Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Architecture.
• Strong academic record and interest in building performance, envelope design, and renovation projects.

Nice to have

• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, or architectural detailing tools.
